Universal Selection
& the Self-Organization of the Cosmos
Natural Selection
Darwin's process of natural selection involves the survival of the fittest at its true foundations. Although he applied this principle to species and their various adaptations, author D. B. Kelley has shown that it applies to all of Nature's many systems. Because contention exists among all natural phenomena, only the fittest systems endure throughout our cosmos. While Darwin also believed that selection is virtually identical to ordinary preservation, survival of the fittest best explains this evolutionary mechanism at its core.
